I agree with the wait and possibly get a better discount. I was in the first 20 and have a 2002, but another week is not a big deal. I can put the savings in the headers buy that is on the way.
does anyone have any idea on milage gains with the unichip installed
We can only speculate at this point, but given that, here is possible scenario. First off, in closed loop mode (under 85% throttle position) it will be tuned for economy and efficiency...but so is the vehicle already (supposedly). They shoot for a 14.7-1 mixture just like your stock truck would, except with the chip it will do a better job of maintaining. Timing will be able to be dialed in better as well, so there will be some gains in mileage. Likely less then 2mpg difference but again we will have to see. It will run better, smell better (less unburned fuel) and hesitations will smooth out. Also it will depend on the condition and how close to nomimal your engine and fuel injection parts are.
Due to 2003 harnesses running late, and per group request, I have asked TS for a 1 week extension...so we will have time to hit our 40!!
1 more may be joining us soooon!
I certainly hope the fence JamesB is sitting spear shaped. If saving an additional 5% ($41.24/$47.25) is going to be putting one in financial duress then this is not a purchase that he/she should be entertaining. I have spent the last couple weeks researching the product/manufacturer and have come to the conclusion that this is an upgrade to my Tundra that makes sense. With that said, an additional 5% is not a purchase killer. Just my 40 ta 50 bucks worth.
How many are sitting on the fence waiting for 40. I'll say I'm 1.
I agree with dstone88! You either come strong or don't come at all! You could be the one to get us to that elusive 40 mark, but if $40 is going to break your bank you should be putting your monies elsewhere!
I hope you guys understand how foolish you sound... like if I choose to wait and see if I can get a better deal on something, I better probably ought to be spending my money somewhere else... sheesh... you all got some money you'd like to waste, toss it my way... I'll take it.
$40 isn't going to break my bank account, but $500 (IMHO) is a reasonable price for this mod. I seriously doubt they will sell very many units @ $825 after the group buy, but I've been wrong before. $660 @ 20% is just what I figured in my mind I would be willing to spend.
People in this world don't become independantly wealthy (not rich... there is a difference) by "going strong or not at all" when it comes to purchases...
