Sorry for taking so long to reply, but man I've been busy! Anyhow, header install went okay...I had to do some minor fabricating to get them on, but SS Autochrome has already been informed and is taking care of things as we speak. I don't have Dyno #'s yet, but I'm trying my best to take care of that. If I can, I'll get them tomorrow. Thanks again for the patience.
Hi Mike, Did you guys get the after dyno done yet? What were the fitment issues, what is being changed by ssautochrome? Any pics?
Thanks
Don
Erik here,
We haven't gotten the dyno results as of yet, but soon. The fitment issues: For one, the down pipe length had to be extended a bit to bolt up correctly and two, a 1 1/2" spacer needed to be added between the tranny dipstick and it's mounting spot on the motor to clear the headers. Other than that, no issues. By the way, the supplied fabric gaskets MUST be used in this application or you will get leaks. I don't have pictures as of yet, I'll take some when I get the chance. Thanks again for all of your patience and we'll get this group buy rolling soon!

Alright, I have some concerns about the fitment mostly, dyno numbers will get posted soon enough. It shows the Y pipe replacing first cat, can these be installed without the Y pipe and still be bolt on installation? I think a Cali smog tech would have issues with the missing cat, sure I could have it moved back further but then if I have to get stock manifolds back on for smog or resell I'd be changing that again. I'm less concerned about the tight fit on driver's side flange though it would be nice if that is a real hassle to have it changed. Perhaps CARB may still win the battle with me. Tranny dipstick is no big deal.
Thanks Erik for all your time invested for the V6ers
Thanks Mike for pics and info

Unfortunately, the downpipe is essential in this install and therefore removes the primary Cat. Will the truck still pass a sniffer test? I'm sure it would...a visual? Dunno, depends on how compotent your tech is and how strict they happen to be that day. Performance gains should be coming today or tomorrow. We tried yesterday, but couldn't get ahold of the dyno guy. Anyhow, either Mike or myself will keep you all posted. Thanks!
Removing the cat concern's me too, especially with obd 2. When I took the cat off my 97' T-100 (replaced with straight pipe) the check engine light came on, had to put the cat back on, and that vehicle only had obd 1
You could probably use one of those O2 simulators to solve the CEL problem, but that doesn't help sneak it buy the emissions inspector. I would think a missing cat would be pretty obvious to the trained eye.

Over a week and no check engine light. There is still one Cat remaining.
