Well folks the legwork has been done by myself (thnx BUDMAN for your contributions)....I'd like to sponsor a group buy for the "RETRAX" bed cover for the Tundra Short bed (access and/or double cab models)....the information is as follows
details of the product- www.rolltopcover.com...the covers MUST be identical in that they fit the short bed (ie access or double cab versions)
proposed pricing- $800 per unit (CLUB MEMBERS can get the cover for $750)
shipping cost- $0 (included in the price)
Let see if we can get the required 10 people to initiate this buy...I know it is a VERY popular item...just check out all the good reviews on this site!
If in 10 days we dont get the 10 then private message me and we can work something out.

Is this still with www.truckgadgets.com? I hope so, they seem like a first class outfit.
I've been shopping for a roll top cover to make that bed usuable storage space and this cover consistently got top recommendations.
C'mon all, jump in. The usual price for this cover (from several vendors) is $889 plus freight. This is a great deal!

argh! this is such a great top! i just got their free VHS in the mail. i'm actually doing research now for when i get my double cab. i got a lid on my access cab now, so i just voted "not interested".
i hope you get those last 2 people!

If I remember correctly the last time there was a group buy on these, member RichR said they did the cutouts at no extra charge. Will try to find the post on that. Come on--- we only need 2.

TB---Not trying to change your vote but just a comment. I also have a fiberglass lid that I bought when I got the truck and have hated it for so long now that if I can't sell it will just find a place in my garage for it to collect dust. I just wish I'd done a little more homework before I bought it. Just find it to hard to haul anything of any size cause the stupid thing always is in the way. With or without the group buy I will probably buy the Retrax cause it will make life alot easier to carry thing. Good luck on your choice for your D/C
