The Russell brake lines are a good fit--no problems to install, but I didn't feel a real improvement over the OEM brake lines. You'll need to bleed the air out of the rear proportioning valve very thoroughly.
I'll take rotors; I haven't decided between slotted or slotted & dimpled. I also want two litres of ATE Typ 2000 amber brake fluid. (One is more than enough for one truck.)
I presently have the ATE blue fluid in the family fleet, and about due for the 2-year change. Changing colors each time helps tell when the new fluid is throught the system. You can't find better brake fluid than the ATE (say, "ah-TAY"). I already have Performance Friction pads coming. http://www.raceshopper.com/ate_brake_fluid.shtml
Don't the '05s have the same brakes as the 2003 & 2004s?

Thanks for the added info and links, Ken. I like the slotted/diamond rotors. Let us know how you like the new PF pads....

Right on, Guys....!!
We have 10 people already....
I'll be confirming all pricing by Monday and will post the retail prices for the Registered members at that time...... JB
Powerstop has been around a long time with a good reputation. It is one of TRW's brands.
SP Performance is new to me, but I trust Raceshopper's judgement in the products they sell.
There is no compatibility issue between any pads and any rotors. Rotors are all cast iron.
Jack,
Did Raceshopper say whether or not they can get the Performace Friction 0976.20 pads? Jason Novy of Performance Friction tells me that they are available now.

Yes. Edwin gave me a price of $38.84 for the '03-'05 - 0976.20 pads. My local AutoZones sell them for $43.00 a set. We get a bigger discount off the Hawk and SP pads. Raceshopper has the Hawks (Sorry, only the '00-'02 D812 pads.)@ $45.84 vice tire rack's $56.00. They have both sizes in the SP pads for $33.29/$38.84 a set vice a competitor's price of $49.00 a set for the '00-'02 pads. JB
It looks like we have 13 sets of rotors vouched for so far.
Some reasons to think about buying better rotors & pads....
1.) Want quieter and cleaner (Less dusty.) pads....
2.) Tired of stock pads wearing out fast....
3.) Tired of replacing the rotors due to warpage....
4.) Would like better stopping power....
5.) Going to bigger/heavier tires & rims....
Look at the savings w/the GB price for the Tundra/Sequoias...
SLOTTED ROTORS-
GB price is $155.51. Raceshopper's retail price $193.79. Nearest competitor's price is $222.89.....
DIAMOND SLOTTED or CROSS DRILLED/SLOTTED-
GB price is $165.01. Raceshopper's retail price $200.50. Nearest competitor's price is $237.32...
Jack, do you think they offer stainless steel brake lines for the Sequoia's as well (front and rear is possible)? Also, do you think the diamond slotted would be better then just a slotted rotor for an suv?

Hey,
Raceshopper's site says this.....
"We also offer Custom Made
Stainless Steel Braided Brake lines.
Custom-Made for many applications.
These lines are manufactured under
ISO/QS9000 Certification and are D.O.T. Approved!"
I'll ask Edwin tomorrow morning for you......
Looking at the differences between the slotted & Diamond slotted I'd say the Diamond slotted would just have more "slots" and for $10.00 more, they look better.... Either one would suit your SUV fine........ Go w/the Diamond slotted if you're hard on the brakes since they'll be a little cooler than the slotted...JB
