I finally found the time to call Tik today to ask a fit related question before placing my order. He seemed a bit busy so I went ahead and placed the order online so he could return to his business.

So... has anyone received their rack yet? If so, how long did it take to arrive?

Also, a message to my fellow procrastinators who have not yet placed orders (yeah, we know who we are)... DO IT NOW OR YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE PLACING YOUR ORDER ON THURSDAY AT MIDNIGHT!!! (obligatory smiley thingie)

Rokdaddy,

I just spoke with TracRac and they said my order will ship today and I should see it by Friday August 19th!! (I had to have mine dropped shipped straight from TRACRAC because I needed the special rail (OL-21609) without the third inside rail to work with my RETRAX and AZTRUCK did not have that rail in stock . But it is for the best because I'll actually get it here in NJ sooner than shipping from Arizona!!

Thumbs up Ordered Mine

ok, I took the plunge & just ordered mine. I wasn't sure if I needed any special "part" for it working with my Access Brand soft tonneau. I did submit the question via the comment block on AZ's website. Right now, the cover is off the truck anyway, but if the two could work together that would be sweet. Also mentioned a big thank you to the vendor for working with ya Pistol. Thanks again for all your negotiating work PP!!

Mark at AZTrucks is the best. He called & made sure I was getting the right product based on the inquiry I sent with my order. Mine is being shipped too now right from the Eastcoast. 7-10 days tops. Woohoo. Just in time for the Labor Day Kayaking trip!!

Did you need to order a special rail for your Access cover? I still have not decided which soft cover I will use.

Just curious... where are you going for your paddling trip? --- Rokwel

I was not part of the vote poll, but I just placed an order. I was going to vote, but there were already 10 yes votes so I figured I would just wait and place my order once the group buy started. Thanks PistolPete for setting up this deal. I was also part of your first group buy for the Retrax bed cover and I am very happy with the Retrax.

Mark from AZ explained to me on the phone that the configuration used for the soft tonneaus doesn't use a third rail. I don't know if it is a "special" rail, but it does prevent the use of some of the add-ons such a divider, tool box etc. I had not planned to use the rack for any of those functions. He did mention that the best aftermarket cover that works with tracrac is the 'Laredo'? I had never heard of it. Of course, tracrac now is marketing their own soft cover/rack combo.

As far as the Kayak trip...it will be in a wilderness area near the Canada/NH/VT border. Lots of crystal clear ponds & small lakes. Earlier this summer, I snapped a cheap Mirage rack (junk by the way) off the tundra traversing down a narrow fire road. Luckily the kayaks only slightly scraped my roof and the scratches easily buffed out.
