I didn't get a chance to call her yesterday but I definitely will today. Since they are two hours behind me it will probably be around lunch before I will be able to get in touch with her. I will also ask if there is any drawback to ordering the bar now and the disconnects when available. I doubt there will be a price break or any other factors that would make this undesirable. Of course if want to use the disconnects, having the bar in hand probably won't do you too much good either...unless you want to install it twice! I will have an update later today, promise.

Gang,

I just got off the phone with Nancy. Their engineers are getting close to finalizing a working solution in house for the quick disconnects. They would really like to test fit these on a Tundra prior to releasing them to ensure everything works. They are currently trying to locate a Tundra whose owner wouldn't mind being the guinea pig. I've contacted one member already that lives really close to their plant, so we'll see if he's willing (he wants the disconnects too so that should help in terms of motiviation...along with another benefit ). If anyone else lives near Visalia, CA (between Fresno and Bakersfield) and would be willing to visit their factory and let them install the unit, then please let me know. I'll give our other member first dibs at this, but otherwise this could add a delay in getting the disconnects on the shelf while they try to locate a Tundra.

Please note that if you are not interested in the quick disconnects (which is only needed to remove the bar quickly when doing serious off-roading), then please don't hesitate to put your order in. This issue will not affect the timing for you to receive your kit. I'll continue to make updates as I hear more. She's received 20 something orders already since Friday!

Mike

Gilbert said that they have adjustable endlinks. I asked him if someone who put some AALs to lift the rear would need one, and he said "no." I dunno... I guess I'll have to try it out for myself when I get it.

From what I have gathered from others on TS that if you have 2 inches or less of lift in the rear you do not need extended endlinks. I personally have 1.5 inches of lift with my AALs and it looks to be like the maximum of lift you can have with the standard endlinks (Endlinks parallel with bushings shightly bulging as compliant with the instructions) but if others say they have they will fit with 2 inches I suppose they will. Hope this helps .

Default Got mine in red

I ordered mine yesterday, didn't talk to Nancy but the lady I talked to knew of the GB. I have to be honest though, the price was right for the bar but shipping seemed a little high, she quoted me $40.00 to ship to Indiana, when I heard that I almost cancelled since JCWhitney had the same thing for $159.00 and free shipping but I wanted the Red one. I want all those other trucks to see what just passed them up cause they will never know what else is under that hood when they see the red bar and know I have the traction to go with the power.....

COuldn't find one for $159, but found this for $169.99 and free shipping:

Says the free shipping is only good for today. If IN is $40, I wonder how much MD is? If it's more than $20, it seems JC Whitney is the way to go for black.

Well, I have the Tuff Country 5" lift. Do you have any idea if the adjustable endlinks have this amount of adjustment?

Priced dropped $10 to 159.99 at JC Whitney and shipping is still free. I have been a big fan of supporting nice people. The box looked pretty large, so I'm sure $40 x-crountry is reasonable. Is this a small business that this group buy is with?

Thanks,

Tom

I installed my sway bar several months ago and love it. At the time, the quick disconnect was not available. Some have said that you need to remove the bar for "serious" off roading. My question is...where is the line between needing and not needing to remove the bar? I go off road scouting for deer and such, but nothing really rough. Any suggestions?

I checked shipping cost on our UPS machine at work and to ship Ground a 35 pound item from MN to their office in CA came to $20.61 I am not sure where they are getting the extra $20.00 from they quoted me.
