Thumbs up COMPLETED GROUP BUY: Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar

We are now clear to begin ordering Hellwig anti-sway bars directly through Hellwig! You have 3 weeks to place your orders (GB closes on 9/9).

This group buy is open to TS Subscribers only!! You must provide a code to Hellwig to place an order. PM myself or nhparrot to receive this code prior to placing your order.
Registered users, since you have 3 weeks to order you have plenty of time to subscribe to TS and still get in on this group buy. This is one of many useful perks of being a TS member.

You can still participate in this GB even if you didn't respond to the poll or if you voted No at the time.

Contact: Call Hellwig and ask for Nancy at 1-800-367-5480. Hellwig is based in CA and work typical business hours (not open on the weekends) so please factor that into when you call. Tell her that you are part of the Tundra Solutions group buy. She will ask you for a code in order to process your order. I will begin to PM the SUBSCRIBERS that have posted in the poll thread the code that you will need. Any other subscribers can PM either me or nhparrot prior to ordering and we will reply with the code.

Part Number: 7641 - the red bars actually will have a different part number but Nancy obviously knows what kit you want based on being part of the TS GB.

Price: $150 + shipping via UPS Ground (except for the Alaskans, in which case request parcel post). Nancy should be able to provide you with the final cost at the time of order. She did caution that UPS is adding a surcharge to combat rising fuel costs which she may not know the details of, so if your final bill is slightly higher than quoted blame UPS, not Hellwig.

Color: Default color is black, but red is available. If you want a red bar, you must specify when ordering.

Shipping Time: Orders should be out of Hellwig within 3-4 days plus UPS's estimated time depending on where you live. Red bars may take slightly longer, but Nancy doesn't believe it will cause any delays.

Quick Disconnects: These are available from Hellwig (but not necessary for installation. This is primarily for off-roaders who will want to remove the bar quickly and easily prior to going off-road). I will not know the cost until Monday at which point I will update this thread.

If you have any problems ordering please don't hesitate to contact me. Nancy's support so far has been fantastic and I doubt you will encounter any issues that Hellwig won't resolve.

While Glenn's links will obviously work just fine, for future reference you can send a PM by left-clicking on the users name. A drop down menu will appear and the second item is "send private message to ######". Click on that item and the PM page, which looks very similar to the reply page, appears and you can enter and format your text for the PM. When you log in, look at the upper right hand side where it says Welcome, waugie. The second line has a link to your Private Messages and will tell you whether you have any unread messages. When I send you the code via PM, you can read it by clicking on the Private Messages link. Hope this helps.

And thanks to everyone else for the compliments. I've gotten so much out of this site that it feels good to be able to contribute something back. Keep group buys in mind the next time you go to buy an add-on for your truck. Maybe you can host the next one !

Just bought a 2005 Tundra DC. Is this a useful item for the 2005 DC's? If so, I am interested.

Thanks,

Tom

yes it fits. And I don't have one (yet) but I've driven my DC in the twisties, and if you do, you'll know that your rear end gets a little "squirly". Having my last Chevy with a rear sway bar... I know they help a LOT.

I just called and placed an order (thanks Hobbes!). The lovely lady who took my order (not sure if it was Nancy) transferred me to Gilbert so I can ask about the quick disconnects availability. He told me that they haven't found any that they liked, and that they are in the works in finding one. I really want them, so any ideas where I can find a kit???

Someone in the poll thread listed a link to Warrior Products (near the end of the thread), which is who I thought Hellwig was going to use as a backup to their own design. You may want to check them out. Nancy had good things to say about them and as I mentioned, I think they partner to a degree with some of these products. I have no direct experience with any of these products though, so sorry that I can't be much more help.

So Hobbes should we still be "holding out" on ordering the Hellwig if we want the quick disconnects?? or is Hellwig going to run a batch or acquire a batch for the group buy??? I'm still waiting to order as you prescribed until the details of the disconnects was revealed but do not want to miss out on the GB.

THANKS
