Oh, I did not realize that they were known for breaking. What breaks exactly? Mine seem to be in perfect condition, but they have probably never been used either. I do not even think my rear seat has ever been sat in.
future mods: SOS rollpan, Hellwig sway bar, SOS sway bar bushings, turbocharger, big brake conversion for front, SOS rear disc brake conversion, and many more.....

I repaired mine on my 2000 Tundra with a zip tie. I found a zip tie which was just big enough to fit, and cut off the excess. No problems since.
Works great and is probably stronger than when new.
I did the same on my 2000 last weekend since the after fixing the passenger side, the driver side broke soon after. It happened mainly because I had my window open and shut the rear door. the impact from the door closing caused it to break. 2 min. and 2 zip ties later it was like new.

There are two kinds of latches. Those that have broken and those that are going to break. Between both windows I had probably opened them less that 25
times. One broke at 6 months old the other gave up the ghost a couple of months ago.
Trfytoy, sign me up for a pair.

2qik2see has voluteered to get me a set of stock latches so I have something to measure off of. I work in a production machine shop and can get a run of these made. I just need an approximate guess on how many pairs need to be made. I am doing this at my COST. So I will not be making any money on this. Just helping out fellow Tundra owners. But remember, the bigger the order, the less they are going to cost me.
So copy and paste the list and add your name so I can get an approximate number. PM me with any questions as to not got the list mixed up. Thanks!
