    Hi folks,

I have not checked in for a while. Sadly I had to say goodbye to my baby in December. I found a long patch of ice doing about 40 mph on a local mountain road and couldn't get her back out, hit the uphill side of the mountain and flipped her onto her side. No one was hurt. After I landed the motor was still running and the music was still playing... I said to myself "that did not just happen"! Damage was too great to fix although I thought about it just because she was a really great truck.

A week later I purchased an 06 Tundra DC... really nice as well.

Oh and to the person who was asking about rear end stabilizing and loading. I have owned a Tacoma and Tundra. I put air lift products on both (and actually just put the system on the DC too) and have had great results. Keeps the ride nice and gives extra stability. The first time I loaded 11 sheets of drywall on my Tacoma I thought I was going to roll the thing over. After the air springs were installed I was amazed with the difference. They are relatively inexpensive and you can get an air compressor to fill them up as needed.

    My best to you all!

7 months into my 03 stepside ltd 4.7l and i cant find enough time to do mods and stereo and performance tweeks...now installing the kenwood excelon 8120 gps/dvd/headunit and dls 4ch and jl500 watt to join components and the 2x8"subs under the backseat....the 8"s are weak compared to my usual car-setup with 10's or 12's but it aint all about the boom as i age into pre-maturity level....my want-list is what scares me now that my credit is 'usable' and 'better than it was' enough to get into trouble ordering online toys...
stealing more ideas from you guys at this very moment....

Thanks for the invite. I've had this truck since September of 2002. Best truck I've ever owned, 112,000 miles now. Worn out one set of BFG ATs and almost done with a set of Cooper Discoverer STs.

Ahhh! The 2003 Tundra. There is a TSB that covers our '03 year model which has a wiring error in the trailer lighting circuit, applies even if you don't have the Tow Package. If you use the Auto-Off feature with your headlights, you are leaving the trailer light circuit active. Manually turn your headlights off to kill this battery drain.

I have posted about this before, follow this link for the fix, the needed wiring harness part number, and a copy of the TSB.

Thanks for the invite. Had mine since it was new. Bought mine on newyears eve 2002. Only problems that I have had with mine is the gas filler neck leaking and making the check engine light come on, and had a bilstien shock boot drop. Oh and it not being able to start after sitting for a few days after leaving the lights on, even though they turn off when you get out.
Last year i needed tires after hitting 55K and desided to go all out. Lifted it with camburg shocks and upper control arms. 2.5" and put the AAL in the back. Put 285/75/16 dick Cepek radial FC II and DC-1's w/ the black. Also added the Diff drop and CV boot covers. Truck looks soooo different and cool!!!
Prior mods I did a few years back were true dual exhast and K&N filter kit. Noticed alittle bit of power but not much. Think I like the sound more than anything.
Truck drives great and wouldn't change a thing but the lack of power. If I had the money, would swap to a 5.7 for sure after testing a newre one the first year they came out.
Will post pics once I get the chance. Still on dial up and frustrating to upload anything.

are you having problems right now?
the only real complaint i can think of is not being able to haul enough wood with a half-ton truck.
there will always be ball joint issues. they are an expendable part. as are the brakes and the tensioner pulley.
