Default Lateral G's

What kind of G's can the different Tundra's handle (or not) on the skid pad? Has anyone gone suspension crazy, and gotten it up to 1.0?

Just curious,

Clayton

1 G in a truck? Good luck. My Z06 Vette does .99G (probably a tick over 1G with my new tires). In my wettest dream I cannot fathom the Tundra handling anywhere near that good

If you can get in the .8 or .9's, you're doing good!

Right now, your best option would be a 2WD RCSB, with the TRD lowering kit, and some low profile car tires. Might look goofy though with the thin tires... and your ride will be rough.

Is the TRD the most extreme lowering kit available? What would most average Tundra's be handling? Like .5?

edmunds did a test-

stock- 0.69g with P275/65R18 BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires

I don't think mid to high .8 Gs are out of reach with grippier tires and a better suspension (TRD full lowering kit?)

It would be hard to get in the mid to high .9Gs though, jut seems like the CG is too high on the truck.

After driving my truck around for a few weeks, I am convinced a rear swaybar and better tires would significantly upgrade the skidpad rating of this truck.

My BFGs squeal and slide out far too easily- when these wear out (a long time!!) I will upgrade to stickier rubber. I remember the Bridgestone Revo tires on my Tacoma were far stickier on the street.
