First off let me say I love this site! I get a lot of info from reading posts. Everyone seems to love their Hellwig Swaybar and I think I will love it as well. I priced one on Summitt Racing but it says it is for 2000-2002 2wd (mine 4wd). Is there a difference between the 2wd and 4wd swaybars and if there is where is a good place to purchase one?
Doesn't installing an add-a-leaf to the rear leaf pack have the same effect as the rear sway-bar?? If you do use a sway bar in the rear, does it affect your articulation?? Anybody have info on that? Thanks

Adding the rear swaybar does affect your articulation. That's sort of how it works. If you're headed offroad you'll want to remove/disconnect it. Not sure if the AAL works the same as the swaybar.

The sway bar does not stiffen your ride when you pass over a bump what works both rear wheels evenly. An additional leaf will stiffen everything in the rear if you're heavy enough or the bump is big enough.
I'm thinking of purchasing the swaybar from hellwig but wanted to ask you guys a question first. Is there any downside to a swaybar? Can anyone give me reasons for taking theirs off? Thanks in advance.
The only downside that I can think of is if you offroad alot. The sway bar reduces the articulation in the rear end that you need to go off roading. You'll be high wheelin' one of your rear wheels when you get into the bumpy sections. I'm sure someone here may have already incorporated a quick disconnect system on their sway bar to go off roading. My $0.02.

The only "bad" thing I've come across is that I had to loosen the U-bolt nuts to change my rear shocks. JB
