Question Need handling/susp expert

First time to this site. Vast knowledge base. Need help with handling. I drive about 93% street, 5% off-road, 2% snow (ski trips). Tundra has always had serious body roll and sway. When taking corners with dips. it sways its head like one of those toy dogs in the back window. I know stock tires suck. I know stock shocks gotta go.

My plan so far: I like the street look for wheels and tires so I'm going with a lower sidewall - wider tire and a 20" wheel for better response. Then I want to get rear sway bar and a mild (2" front / 1.5" rear) lift for looks mainly (I like the big look of the new Dodge).

As far as lift and shocks, need advice on something simple, maybe spacers. Don't want ultra stiff ride. Don't want rub. Maybe stock shocks OK, just need springs. Ideas ?

Unfortunately, most LIFT threads on TS are for baja and swamp buggies. When I need to satisfy my 4WD jones, I go to Silverton or Lake City in Colorado, rent a Jeep and do the Alpine Loop (Wild). Thanks for your time.

sounds like you already know what youre looking for. the stock trd bilsteins (oem yellow/blue) are not as bad as many threads here might make them seem.

whereja get the idea all the lift threads are for baja and mud? amado and i just ran elephant hill (canyonlands, utah) last weekend...there are plenty of trucks here built specifically for the rocks.

Default thanx

thanks for the reply. sorry it took a new thread, but I didn't find anything that addressed my situation specifically. Like I said, most threads about lift were for 100% off road. Don't think I didn't try to search the other threads-about 3 hours worth.

Keep up the good work. I will go ahead and become a club member because with the mods I'm planning, this site will be invaluable.

The RAS is ideal for the rear. They do a great job of lifting the rear, reduceing sway and they also act as traction bars.
I had one problem with the set I ran, I didn't want any lift in the rear. They are for sale.

Not wanting a stiff spring up front limits you to spacers as mentioned or... maybe a set of TRD progressive rate coils
tuned for a 4WD V8 would do the trick.

NOTE: The RAS did such a good job acting as an anti-sway bar I never installed my Hellwig. I sold it.
Now that I'm running Timbrens I had to order a brand new Hellwig.
The combination of the RAS and a Hellwig may be a little to tight.
