SUMMIT
As for the bump in the rear. Do a search and you will find the fix.
I can't remember the title, but I had my dealer follow the instructions
and fix it under warranty.

Good luck -

I'd like to have one of those too, but I got rid of the "bump" by greasing the slip yoke on the rear drive shaft. Arkie6 figured this out about 3 or 4 years ago.

I have a 00 Tundra. Where exactly is the spot you grease? Is it a grease fitting?

My service ticket reads:
Lack of lubricant in drive shaft splines.
Grease drive shaft splines.

No more bump for me

Having a Hellwig installed as we speak and the owner of the shop asked me if I was aware that it might void Toyota's warranty for suspension???? Is this true?

I could be wrong here, and if I am you other guys let me know. If the modification you install is the cause of a problem then they do not have to cover it under warranty. Other than that your warranty stands.

Question

I think you are correct

I'm still trying to understand how a Hellwig could cause a problem, especially since the TRD Sport can be had with a factory rear anti-sway bar ???

Default Anti-sway bars

I have a camper on my 00 Tundra and would like to add anti-sway bars. Any one have any suggestions as to the best route? TRD has anti-sway bars on the Tundra Sport? Are the Hellwig anti-sway as good?

The sway bar from the TRD Sport Package are not an option for you as your rear dif does not include the mounts for the swaybar. Hellwig is your best and proven option.

If you have the 4x4, then it's a grease fitting at the end of the slip yoke which is at the rear of the drive shaft. One method involves pumping in the proper grease until the shaft begins to extend a bit and grease begins to show around the seal on the yoke. The grease will have to go to the end of the inner splined shaft and then back along the outer piece before it will show so it will take quite a lot. Then you remove the zerk and bounce on the rear of the truck to work out trapped air and excess grease. Replace the zerk and you should be ready to go.

Does anyone have a good source for the Hellwig anti-sway bars? I have checked all over Colorado at the dealers that Hellwig mentions. No one has them in stock and they run about $280.00 + tax. Are they avaliable online?
