This is a discussion thread titled "Helwig anti-sway bar question", within the Handling Improvements forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Got mine from summitracing for $147 including s/h. Also, check out jcwhitney.com. They offer 10% off. Still around $145-150 though. Well worth the money. Only took me about 45 minutes to install.
Could you tell us who sells them for less in ATL? Thanks.
Sorry for the very late responce. I have been away on a trip. The shop is off Atlanta Road in Smyrna, GA. I do not remember the shop name but can find out if needed. I can also find out the actual price. The last quote was alot cheaper then what I bought it for I will pass by today to find out.

Also - One more thing ( And Pls note i am not too familiar with These Type of Mods) but is this just a rear Sway bar or is there a front one also or both. I have assumed all along that it is just one for the rear
Is there anyone that has it on the '04 DC and are there any issues pertaining o this model and the installation of hellwig's
No problems with a DC. Only took about an hour to install on mine with basic tools. The front already has a sway bar which is why you always see talk about a mod for the rear. If you want to do more for the front you can put in a thicker bar or some polyurethane bushings.
My truck corners much better now...go ahead and get one.

could you explain this in more details? If you want to do more for the front you can put in a thicker bar or some polyurethane bushings.
Is there a part number for front bar/polyurethane bushingsreplacement...and what type of tools needed, including the rear sway bar install.

You can get the new bushings at Wheelers's Off-Road. I haven't done this myself, but there are quite a few members who have. Here are a couple of links with some more info...
As far as tools...IIRC all I used were wrenches & sockets. Get everything up where it needs to be, but leave everything loose so you can get it centered. Then tighten it all up. Here's a link with install instructions (with pics) from TS member tremo...

With all the talk about the sway bar...it's definintely on my "to get" list. I have a 04 DC however, and from summit.com, all i see is one sway bar for all tundras, is this going to fit for my DC? Is there a specific one i should buy for the 04 DC? Thanks.
