Handling ImprovementsTechnical discussions regarding sport suspensions, performance sway bars, shock absorbers, lowering kits and handling improvement systems.
This is a discussion thread titled "Hellwig Anti-Sway Bar????", within the Handling Improvements forum, part of the Technical & Vehicle Assistance Forums category.
Is there any chance of getting together another group buy for these for the tundras??? or if anybody knows of a place that has a good deal on one?
thanks,
Don Johnson
I believe several guys called the factory and were able to get the same price as we did on the group buy. It was $150 plus shipping (around $18). You can read through some of the old group buy posts to get the contact person and phone number I think. Others have gotten em from JC Whitney and Summit for similar prices.

I recently bought a 2006 2wd 8cyl automatic Tundra and put a camper on it. I was told that adding a rear sway bar was a must. Looking for input..... What about Toyota - do they have a sway bar? If I purchase after market, will it void the warranty?
Yeah, toyota has a swaybar for the tundra but it requires mounting brackets to be welded on the rear end. Kind of a show stopper in my book. The aftermarket helwig bar is a bolt-on addition. I been running mine for 35k miles and almost sold my truck initially because I thought the handling was a little scarey at speed, before I found out about the bar. You'll thank everyone who recommends it.
BTW: JC Whitney has free shipping for over $75 orders

I'm going to try calling in on the old Group Buy (what was it...6 months ago ) , but if it doesn't work, I'll be in for a new group effort. Otherwise, may just order it from Summit...something like $25 more total, not a deal-breaker
