I just finished installing one on my truck this afternoon. Did a little bit of road test and it seems to lessen my bed bounce. I'll find out more tomorrow when I drive the truck to these bad roads on the way to work and I'll post the result here. 30 mins installed.

DC, just scoped out your cardomain page. How much did you pick up the TRD big brake kit for? On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being perfect), how much improvement would you rate it compared to the oem brakes? IMO, I felt that the factory brakes respond pretty damn good with the stock 20's. Couldn't imagine what it would feel like with the BB kit!

Yes, indeed. I did a hard test drive early this morning before going to work and it did reduce bed bounce for sure. Made cornering way lot better and somehow made the rear end feel solid and not wobbly on hard left and right turns. Drove through dips and bumps, truck feels solid now. The bounce is still there but I really have to drive fast on the bad roads before the bed starts bouncing. I was like a mad man driving fast on those roads at 5 AM. Luckily no cops around. Next mod--- adjustable shocks.

j- the bbkit came with the truck when i bought it. so i can't really compare them to the oem ones. to me their perfect. had to watch myself during the break in phase though. but now i don't even worry about them. i can only imagine they are better than the stock oem brakes.

Default Re: TRD sway bar

I ordered the sway bar today. I called two dealers and they both quoted $259 (that's retail). When I went in to one of them (Buckhannon Auto Maul) I mentioned I had seen a post with a price of $213. the sales lady glared at me, told me there wasn't much markup on it, then gave me $15 off. Until I called, they didn't even know the part was available. They also gave me a little off on my cartridge oil filter kit. [BTW, this will be my second oil change. I find it quite easy except for reinstallation of the skid plate.]

I have a 02 F150 w/7700 pkg (3/4 ton kit). I am used to the stiff ride and very lilttle pitch when cornering. I look forward to improving the handling on the T and hopefully getting a little relief for the understeer. the posts on this forum were a big help.....Can't wait!
