Hi Captain Ahi,
I just bought a new 2008 Tundra Crewmax 4x4. I'm trying to build a strong tow & Baja vehicle. I just had a the supercharger installed on mine too. Why don't you want the sway bars on your truck? I figured it might help mine, but not knowing all that much about it, you obviously know more than I do, so can you share your thoughts?
Also, do you have a funky pause when hard accelerating between 1st and 2nd gear?
Best regards and aloha,
Jon

I am selling my "Spare Rear TRD Sway Bar". I bought, installed and enjoy the positive handling response that the Rear Sway Bar gives. It helps the rear "Hook Up" under hard acceleration, as the rear has a tendency to wheel hop. The other handling characteristics that the Sway Bar gives like flatter cornering, I don't know about because I don't lean the truck too much. I am selling this Sway Bar because it was part of a lowered spring kit that I bought.
I did experience a lag between 1st and 2nd but I fixed by manually shifting 1st to 2nd from the Gear Selector. Shift around 5000 and the computer shifts the transmission before the Rev Limiter kicks in. Try it; works for me.

Any of you Hawaii guys want one? I have a TRD rear Sway Bar, brand new that i got with a rear suspension set for sale.
Is it made specifically for the lowered suspension or is it the same as the "normal" TRD sway bar? Are you willing to send it to Hilo? I am interested in purchasing it. Thanks.

Have you always been driving using "manual shifting"? Or just after the S/C has been installed? Is the lag consistent?

I only noticed it after the install. My guess is that the added power fills the RPM band too fast for the computer react and shift the 1st to 2nd. shifting it manually takes care of it. And I must correct myself.... I manually shift it before 5000 rpms.

I see - but do you still feel the lag off the bat when in "D" mode? Hope that made sense, lol.
