Although I got my stuff from the Snap-On man, you can get everything from NAPA or Sears. I got this cool Funnel for the oil that screws in to the valve cover that makes adding oil spill proof. You just reminded me that its time to change oil again.

try to use the factory Toyota filters and oil unless your gonna go with full synthetic high line lubricants such as amsoil, mobil1, royal purple, etc.

I too use only Snap on tools but for an oil change and regular maintanence any metric set will do.

i haven't found an aftermarket oil filter wrench that would fit, though I've measured it and IIRC it's 2" across. When i first changed my oil i got the 0w-20 Mobil 1 from walmart...

thanks for the replies.

i just went to walmart and got 5w-20 oil. still need to get the oil filter kit and oil filter end cap wrench.

i saw one website with 10 filter kits for $45 and it includes shipping. 10 oil changes but can the filters last that long just sitting collecting moisture 2-3 years.

i think is 65/67 mm 14 flute end cap wrench. please correct me if i'm wrong.

thanks again.

How about an oil change party so someone can show me how to do this myself! That way, I'll learn how and know what to buy. I know this great tree in Kakaako park.

oil is changed for the first 1000 mile break in. not to bad. i ordered a 64 mm assenmacher oil filter cap wrench from the local matco tool guy, fits perfect but you need a 24mm or 15/16" socket to spin the wrench. went to toyota and got the 5.7l oil filter kit and used regular 5w-20.

just need to check for leaks under the truck for the next couple of days.
