I got my Borla's from former TS user ClydeMatsusaka about 4yrs+ ago. He wanted TRD's but they didn't have them at the time. As soon as his Borla's came in, TRD released their exhaust. Clyde's truck was the first Ivan Stewart that I saw on the island. His truck was loaded with everything at the time, Bedlocker, Supercharger, Headers, Exhaust. He eventually lifted and sold it.
I remember Clyde. Couldn't remember his name though. I bought his stock wheels from him. That's also the first time I saw the IS wheels. Wanted them ever since. He used to do the surf reports on the radio when I was in intermediate (now called middle) school.

Hey MauiThunda,
How do you like your Magnaflow? Duals? Any pros/cons?
Keith
It's a well made exhaust, all stainless, single outlet with a polished tip, no 2k drone, but when you get on it it sounds throaty. At idle it's a little louder than stock, but it won't wake up the neighbors like the spintech I had on before, but it was dumped right after the muffler (loud). I would say it's probably in between the trd(borla) and stock, sound wise. Performance wise, I noticed a bump from midrange and higher ( probably better for passing on the freeway's like you guy's) Overall, it's a good cat-back with a lifetime warranty.BTW, I used the warranty already when I notice one of the band clamps wasn't seating right, so I called Magnaflow and they took care of it, no questions asked. They overnighted it (new band clamp)to Maui (no charge) for anything.
Aloha's

Thanks for the info man! I can't decide between, Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Banks and Gibson. For sure some kind of cat-back single out system, not too loud to announce myself 2 miles away, just a bit more than stock. Your Magnaflow seems about right where I want it. Did you do the install yourself?
Keith

Keith, I installed it myself and it only took about 30-45 minutes total, removal of stock w/spintech and install of Magnaflow cat-back. Aloha's, and good luck with your choice.

Yeah, they do it right in Hawaii. Nice looking trucks guys. Personally like my TRD dual exhaust . The muffler is said to be almost a magnaflow muffler and a stainless system . The truck has a deep rumbling and low end and pretty quiet and high freeway speeds. I knew the night after I installed it looking back and seeing the exhaust coming from both sides that I did right.
Keep it up guys
