Default What do you like about YOUR Tundra???

Just sitting around here today thinking about the truck and I was just pondering about what did I find special about my very own Tundra. For me, i'm proud of the fact that it is my very first vehicle/truck/Toyota that I have ever purchased from my own hard work and dedication. In fact there are several factors that I'm liking or have liked about my tundra: 1st would have to have been the color for me. When I picked up the truck I wanted a blue color so I went for bluesteel metallic, but toyota city didn't have one in my price range so i opted for the spectra blue mica. I was happy with the choice thinking that I was going to get a sort of unique/rare color for here in the islands. Boy was I wrong! shortly thereafter within two months I started to see 5 more DC's with the same color. At first I was like "eh right on!", but quickly after it turned more into. "ahhhh crap! u too" not to beat down on anyone of you who may also own this color too, but personally the reason why I chose the color was because I didn't want to go the common silver, grey color. I wanted to try and be a bit different, but I guess I became a victim of that, don't notice tundra DC's on the road until you own one and see a lot more of them syndrome. Sooooo from there, I guess my last bit of "macho ego" pride would be that I might be the youngest of us islanders that own a spectra blue mica DC. so HAAAAA!

I want to know what others think is special about your very own tundra!

The fact that it's a TOYOTA ... I think?! Well, that certainly use to me something anyway. I'm praying and hoping that it STILL does! I love it and I sure am thankful to have it! Thank you God!

eh kaleo,
next time get black. not too many black since rumor has it hard too take care. only rumors any color is hard to take care. from reading all the responses on the tundra seems like everyone is taking good care of their rides so black is not so hard to take care. stop by and talk story wen time permits or you on this part of the island.

hehe that's the only thing I DON'T like about my tundra is that it doesn't fit in my garage. It sticks out a foot in the front end so now I have to wipe down the front part everyday from leaves, branches, twigs, and rain spots. Also, I'm not into black, though a black DC is indeed uncommon here on oahu, well at least I haven't seen much. Though I agree with mho that any color is hard to take care of.

well, keep um coming guys let's hear what you all have to say!

It's a Toyota, 'nuff said. I had a Honda. I thought it was dependable. A O2 sensor died within the first year. The AC crapped out right after the 36 month warranty. Muffler died soon after that. Other than that it lasted 7 years and 70K miles. Sold it to a guy, with a leaking water pump who was going to do a GSR swap so he did not care about the pump.

I got my first Toyota, a 99 4Runner and so far(knocking on my wooden desk with fingers crossed) no problems. Since that time I've had a 81 Tercel, 86 Corolla GTS, 87 Corolla GTS, 95.5 Tacoma, 03 Matrix XRS, 94 Pickup 2wd and I now have a 02 Tundra and a 97 RAV4. The only serious problem I had was with the Tacoma when the starter solenoid got stuck in the start position. I got second degree burns when I tried to remove the battery cable without any tools. At least my truck didn't burn to the ground. Fixed the starter and it didn't give me any more problems.

I will be buying Toyotas till I die or cannot drive.

Aw man, what's wrong with white? All my cars are white. Even the ones I buy used have to be white. My friend's late dad told my friend not to buy a white car. He called it "no color".

My first car was silver. This was a 70's camaro so of course it was faded. We painted it Chevy Classic White. I guess that's when my love for white cars started. My current favorite is Toyota Super White II. My 03 Matrix was that color. Really nice and bright. To bad all my current rides are Toyota Natural White. Not as nice as the Super White but good enough. At least I only need one bottle of touch up paint.

I know what you mean. I turned mine into a IS Tundra, then all the new Tundras came out with the painted bumper cover and I got sick of it. So now I took the IS cover off and went back to chrome, but painted the top valence silver to match the truck. So that's a bit unique.

Things I like about my truck:
05 tailights and the fact that it's paid off.

Exactly might thoughts. Right size for me and fits in the garage. Just barely have about 6 inches in front before heater and 3 inches out back and about 6 inches above before hitting the garage door and that's with the 2.5 in lift I wanted installed on it . Close but not to close just the way I like it .

Sorry Maukarunner diddnt mean to offend. Im pretty much the same way but with blue or black my last truck was blue and my monte carlo was black.
I diddnt have much choice on color on my first car though it was a red 83 celica only thing I could afford that was decent running and looking and had a radio AM though. Was a decent running car untill the gas tank fell off :
