I finally saw a 2007 Tundra at Big Island toyota today. They werent on the actual lot yet though. They were still in the back lot with the white papers on the hood and doors. I'm sure they'll be on the lot by tomorrow or thursday. They had 2 tundras, a DC Long Bed and a DC w/6' bed. The long bed DC was huge! But I have to say that the cab looks smaller then my 06 DC. Nice truck though.
congrats on the spotting...i have been going to toyota city since the start of the new year waiting for them to come in, but so far none have come in. I just wanna see it in person and check out what the hype is all about!!! I still love my '05 though and i'm not letting that one go

Check out the lot at Sand Island. I think they have the prep lot there so everything goes there first then it goes to the dealers. I think BI and maybe Maui Toyota are not part of Servco so maybe they get theirs from different sources. If it is Servco it should be there. If I have time I'll try to take a spin that way today.
bum deals...well I passed by the sand island lot today hoping to catch a glimpse of one, but the whole lot was empty that was the first time i've ever seen it empty...oh well maybe next time

so today after dropping off my gf at work nearby Toyota city, I stopped by and saw the green colored DC 4.7 parked out in front. I got to drive it around the block at toyota city and there is a difference in ride comfort, performance, and handling. The interior is big for me being i'm 5'5" and there are so many different places to store items in all of the different holders. I liked how the front seats looked like a bench seat until you fold up the center cushion revealing the 1st storage bin, then fold down the back portion and there's your cup holders and another storage bin. The upholstery was a light tan color, and the padding was very thick and comforting for my back; especially in the backseat where the slight tilt down in the lower lumbar region really made it feel comfortable. It felt like I wouldn't have a stiff or sore back if I were to sit in the back for extended periods of time.
I have to agree that the turning radius has improved compared to my '05, the suspension travel felt minimal as I left the parking lot that had a nice sized dip onto the main road. When coming to a stop, I pumped the brakes and was impressed at how the truck didn't have big front dipping when the brakes are depressed heavily. The transmission was smooth as it went up and down the gears. I didn't know that the shifter now has sequential shifting what's next for the 2008 model? F1 Paddle shifter style???
Pretty much everything about that truck is bigger and somewhat more refined. IMO the styling still has to take some getting used to especially the front fascia, but other then that it's a nice truck.

Nice review. I'm personally waiting for the Crewmax 5.7 Tundra's to get here. The Tundra's at the lot only have the 4.7 in them. I don't want to waste my time test driving a truck that has the same motor as mine. They may have upgraded the 4.7 a little, but it's still basically the same.
I am waiting for the crewmax too! The salesman that sold me my DC went on the testdrive with me, and will email me when it comes in. He said in March they should be getting some in. So far they have 4 DC's prepped ready to go to their owners. One lucky guy was getting his today.

i wish we could get a glimpse of one in real life on maui. my brother in law works for maui toyota, and he hasn't even seen one yet. but it sounds pretty good with a 5.7 and finally "real brakes".

you will real soon because when I was at the dealer talking with the salesman, one of the trucks that was prepped was going to be shipped to maui, so I think it should be there already??? Though it's the 4.7L one at least you'll have an idea of what it looks like in person.

Well, I guess my bro isn't up to date with info, because the '07's are here!!! I took a cruise tonight just after I posted and I saw maybe 4 of them on the lot . Kind of hard to see, but they look pretty cool, IMO! Maybe, I'll check um out latahz (in the daytime). But it looks like I'm gonna have to have a little talk with my inside informant lol!!
