Default Battery Dead

After only 53,000 miles and just over 2 years the battery died! I am not talking about the Hybrid battery pack just standard car battery. I am kind of disappointed, it seems like it should have lasted longer, much longer! Anyone else notice crappy battery life?

Common problem amongst all Hybrid vehicles.

Just look at the size of your battery. Yu really think it will last as long as a standard group size battery.
It appears to be the size of a motorcycle battery!!!

Toyota couldn't fit anything bigger because the engine compartment is BLOATED with all that other Hybrid stuff.

What ever yu do ...don't replace with another TOYOTA battery, unless yu get it "free". Shop around for other brands. Remember , yu pay for what yu get in a battery!

Good luck.

It sounds like the Hybrid battery is smaller in size than the regular HL due to engine bay space. 53K miles for a small battery should consider a fair life, then?

Hopefully this one will last longer. It was replaced by Toyota after much complaint on the short life. Hopefully this one will last longer, if not, maybe they will have long lasting aftermaket battery's by then for the Highlander Hybrid.
