Re: Does anyone here have the Japan HL sport grill or the billet grill?
Thanks for the reply and link
Kinda looks like it's missing something with just those two lower thin bars and nothing else above it.
Hopefully someone will chime in with the billet grill in a decent sized picture so I can compare the two and make my decision. i'm not too found of shelling out $300+ on just a plastic sport grill..yikes!
Re: Does anyone here have the Japan HL sport grill or the billet grill?
you know I once found a full billet grille for it. you could get it powdercoated black flat or shiny or in polished. it was less than 300 too. ill try to find the link...

^^That looks much better. your HL is nice BTW. Wheels look good on there. i'm stuck on what wheels to go with but that's for another thread.
snow, I went to that link but when I went to use the drop downs for vehicle info and pricing, it only shows up as being a product for 2006 Highlanders . I know the headlights/tail lights changed on the 04 and up models but did the grill?

Beauty is the weirdest thing. The Elegant Cruiser body kit grille is meant to be looked like that and I love the neat design, clean lines, and the mesh grilles behind the two horizontal bars.
I’d say choose the best grille which you like the most, look and cost. It can’t go wrong as long as you like it.

Hi,
I was wondering if any of you were able to find a Billete Grille for the 08 Highlander. I called every place on the internet, and I can't find anyone who makes one yet.
If anyone know's of any place anywhere I would greatly appriciated if you could let me know.
Thanks.

I find that using closely spaced Billet grills tend to impede Air Flow for the Radiator/AC. This is true for most vehicles including my friends 'Lade'. His Caddy ( 6.0 Liter) runs slightly hotter in the summer months.
Also, these Billet grills tend to look ill fitting much of the time.
I like Open grill designs That are designed with functionality in its form factor.
BTW, the 01-03 Grills are different than the 04-07 HL's. And not interchangeable.
The TMD 01-03 Sport grille has the the 3 bars on the lower portion of the grill whereas the same Sport Grill for the 04-07's has the three bars in the upper portion of the grill. A unique distinction. In any event this Sport Grill is more functional in design.
Although expensive, it comes Prepainted to color code and is the Nicest HL grill I've seen.
TMD also makes an Aero Grill for 04-07 HL's. But it resembles a JeepWrangler's Vertically Slotted Grill too much in my opinion.
In the end, I chose to go with a Chrome overlay on my Stock grill. (only available to fit on the 04-07 HL's)($65.00)
I have not seen a picture of any aftermarket Grill for an 08 HL as of yet.
