Should be better...and definitly over 20MPG on the Highway drive. I get approx 23-26 with a criusing foot at 62mph. That is a best in cold weather. Compressor off. I find anything over 70 mph will lower MPG to around the 19-21 mpg mark.

The HL has a RPM/MPH sweet spot at 2k rpm with 63 mph for the best MPG.
Overdrive engaged of course.

I have 10,200 miles and My last Oil change I had sent out an oil sample to Blackstone labs for analysis.

The results indicated that I was still going through some final break-in on the engine. YOUR MPG should be its best after a complete engine break-in.

I noticed my MPG got consistenlty better from when it was new with 7 original miles.

For what it's worth I use only Mobil 1 FULLY synthetic Oil. Have for many, many years. I change my oil every 5k miles. Economy is always a tad better with any synthetic. But there are other advantages to using a synthetic oil.

I always use standard Dino oil till around 3k miles on any new engine. Just my preference. But yu can use it from day one as others do..

It's nice to hear most of you get great MPG return.

I average around 14~15 mpg local and 18~19 mpg on highway. Kinda bad for 60K miles 2003 3.0L AWD (with 255 series tires and 18" wheels)... So this Mobil 1 synthetic really increases MPG?

I get similar results and have a similar rig -2002, 60k, stock tires though. I get 16-17.5mpg local and about 20-21 highway.

On my 07 3.3L AWD I get about 24.5-25.5 mpg on the highway at 75-80 mph and <18 mpg around town. The in town mileage is waht ny wife puts on it and includes no freeway miles at all usually. I would consider that the low and high mileage average since I check it every tank. For what it is I'm happy with the mileage. My only beef is the drive-by-wire throttle which is harder to modulate than a convetinal cable throttle; I feel this causes much of the poor mileage in the city.

Some have said that with FBW yu can really "lightfoot" this system and yu will see a difference with better MPG. I have tried it and yes FBW is really sensitive and a real steady foot keeping the trans. in one gear most of the time will get yu a noticeable MPG gain. Try it. it works.

But, personally, I just drive the dam thing. As I would any car.
