Default Alright everyone: Cross your fingers!!!!!

OK, here is the big news!

I have just purchased LED mirror covers for the Toyota Kluger!!! I am VERY excited about this and am HOPING that these fit my Toyota Highlander. If they do, then I will let you all know immediately as I am sure some of you will want to get these as well.

We have all seen the Toyota dealer in CA (I think) that sells the whole mirror assembly with the built in LED signal for $399 for the pair of mirror assemblies painted to match your paint. I love how these look and was soooo close to purchase these since I really want LED signal mirrors. BUT, these LED mirror covers that I just purchased cost me $109 shipped! OH MAN I HOPE THESE FIT!!!!!!!!!!

I am going to post pictures of the mirror covers on my cardomain page, so if you want to check them out, please feel free to do so. You can also check out the LED mirror covers that I painted and installed on my Infiniti I30 a few years ago to get an idea of how the mirror covers look installed.

WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, correct. They just need to be painted, although, if you have the white Highlander, then you might be able to get away with them, unpainted. See my cardomain page for more detailed pictures. They almost look like a shiny white color from the seller.

I AM SO FREAKIN' EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

I know yu have been looking for these forever. This stuff only originates from Japan. Then it is brokered out to Taiwan or China. It is rare to see stuff like this still being sold on this 1st gen HL.

AAAAAAAAAA HOO HOOO HOOOOOO YEEEEAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They came in today and they fit like a glove!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!

These are not white as the original pictures I posted on my cardomain page showed. I think they had painted them white. These are gray in color and ready to be painted. The LED lens is crystal clear and looks soooooo nice!

I posted pictures of them set on my mirrors on my cardomain page so you can see what they look like on the car. I really think it makes the car look so much more classy.

WHAT DOES ALL OF THIS MEAN? It means that the outside mirrors on the Toyota Kluger years 2003 to 2007 are identical to the outside mirrors on the Toyota Highlander.

I guess we don't have to worry about trying to figure out if the Lexus mirrors are the same now. HA HA !

WOOOOOOOOO YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One last thing.

I wanted to direct you all to the company that I purchased these from. They are very quick to respond to emails and are very professional. They ship very quickly and packed the items very well. I can not say enough good things about this company. THEY ARE GREAT!

I highly recommend this company. Great customer service!

Here is a link to their ebay website.

Yes, they come in the standard flat gray color and you would have to either paint them yourself or get them painted. I originally was going to paint them myself, but have decided to see how much a body shop will charge me to paint them to match the color of the car.

You are correct, I have the Millennium Silver Highlander.

I have also wondered if I can find a place to chrome the LED Mirror Covers, but I honestly don't even know where to start for this. hmmm. I would love to have these in Chrome to highlight the other chrome accents I have put on the Highlander already. Check out my cardomain page (located at the bottom of my post) to see what I have done so far and to see these LED mirror covers.

There is a place I stumbled upon in Cali just surfing. They do Custom plating on wheels. And they also have an Electroplate process for small plastic parts. I will tell yu that the LED lens must come off to do this.
I feel that paint would be more durable and practical in the long run.

I will see if I can find this site again . It is a well known Large company in Cali. from what I remember. They even do Black Chrome Plating. They do alot of OE plating for many Dealers too.

Question: Is the 3M tape already applied to the inside of these covers.

I understand that they must be painted to match.

BTW, I did confirm that the RX mirrors are a slightly different shape. Most prominently where the extruded curved lines are on both these mirrors on the leadings edge.
Yu know I must get these. Hope to be the second to get em.

Hey LT. Thanks for offering to find that company that does the chrome plating. I would be interested to find out how much they would charge. Hell, if they are good and don't charge a fortune, I may send them some other things to chrome. I LOVE CHROME! lol

Looking at the Mirror covers, I think that you can remove three screws to remove the LED lens. Yes the 3m Tape is already in place on the mirror covers, but it can easily be removed if it has to be.

I will let everyone know how much local body shops will charge me to paint these as soon as I find out.

Thanks for the info about the Lexus mirror covers. How did you end up confirming this once and for all?

Good thing we don't need to rely on the Lexus mirror covers now!!! I AM STILL SO FREEKING EXCITED TO HAVE FOUND THESE!!!!!!

I actually came from shopping at a mall and found an RX350 sitting right next to my HL in the lot. I pulled out a ruler I had compared mine and the RX's . I stood there for 15 minutes while waiting for someone. It was very apparent when yu look closely as I was able. They are different. the Glass mirrors are a diff. shape also.

But, from a distance or by itself ,yes they look almost identical. Yu would assume.

Please tell us the paint price to do the covers. I will try and get yu the CO. in Cali that does electroplating.
