Those Polished Limited wheels and chrome handles make me so jealous.

Thanks for the picture.

Really nice HL yu have. It will be in demand when yu sell. They did not produce many HL Sport's from 06-07. Aren't many out there like the other HL's. If yu see a used one for sale it is getting a much higher dollar from what I have seen compared to a similar equipped same year base model non-Sport HL. They sell fast right off the lot.
A Sport will not last 1 week on a used car lot unless it has major issues.

I feel the OE polished wheels makes it a fast seller. It's a looker.

Wolbar,

I have the Chrome handle covers off ebay and they fit perfectly. I like the quality of the ones I purchased, however, I agree that there are a lot of them out there that are crap.

You can see pictures of them on my HL on my cardomain page if you would like. If I can find the info about the company that I purchased them from, I will post, but I think I have looked before and can't seem to find the info.

It would be the other way a round. The Limited with the Sports package. The Limited maxes out at $42K.

Nice pix. The Grille is a unique Sport Item. The rims come Polished only on the Sport. The handles are too.
But the Chrome Rear License Bar is borrowed from the 05-07 HL Hybrids.

Doesnt they peal off after some period of time?? Cause I heard they peal off preaty fast escpecially drivers side, cause u using it most of the time!!
Is it true that chrome covers are using 3M tape to put on original handles??

Also i've seen on ebay not just chrome covers but whole chorme handle! And price for them range from $60-$80. What do u think about them?

My experience with the Handle covers was bad. had the first set replaced free by vendor. They did not fit well. All this stuff is taiwan. yu can't truly deal with the MFR.

I had to remove the handle portions and left all the buttons (smaller pieces on. as they were perfect fitting. The chrome had split on one handle cover when trying to make it mate well so the 3M tape would stick flat. A year later and I can see the Electroplating starting to discolor somewhat on the remaining Buttons I left on.
BTW, when I removed the defective covers, They left some marks and scratches ...even while I used a heat gun to loosen the 3M adhesive tape. The covers will crack and split into pieces as yu pull off these covers. Because the 3M tape IS strong in most areas!
I was able to compound most of the scratches..not all.

I have no experience with the aftermarket "Full chrome handles. But some have stated here and elswhere that the chrome was inferior.

Yu might get lucky and get a good set of Covers. Some have.
But the feel of the covers is not smooth on the inside of the handle where the seams are. Where yu pull with your hand. The OE chrome is smooth like the OE colored ones.

I would just get the OE HL Sport Handles from the Dealer in the end. The extra money spent is worth it. At least to me. Even though the Doors must be disassembled to install. Very time consuming. But this is the best way to do it.

My covers just did not wrap the pull handle portion well. The 3M tape just did not mate perfectly to the OE handle for a good attatchment. They started to lift and always looked crooked and uneven. They were not molded well from "TAIWAN".

Just my observations.

I will be installing Dynamat sound material when I remove the door panels to install the OE chrome handles.
It makes sense to install both while yu are in there and have the panels removed already for the Handles..
This is something to consider for those installing the OE Chrome handles.

For me the Chrome door handle COVER experience has been very good. I have had them for over 2 years, possibly 3 years and none of them have ever started to peel at all. They all look pretty much just as good as they did the day I purchased them.

Yes, they do use 3M tape to hold them on, but this is not an issue because a lot of auto parts are held on by 3M tape Blieve it or not. lol

As for the whole chrome door handles you see on ebay. I purchased those about a year ago from a seller on ebay located in Tiawan and they were complete crap! I returned them and got a refund because when they arrived to me, the chrome was peeling off of the cream colored plastic handle. I was VERY disapointed!

In my opinion, if you are going to replace the whole exterior handle with chrome, just buy them from the dealer. They are really not that expensve from them and you know they will last.

I personally, like the chrome handle COVERS and have not had an issue with them. Install is very simple and my experience has been good.

I hope that helps you with your decision and again, if I can find out who I purchased mine from, I will post it in here for you.
