Default sunroof problem

hey everyone i have a 2004 highlander awd with a sunroof wondered if anyone had problems with them.I rarely ever used it but it was nice out last weekend and we were on the coast anyways sunroof only closes half-way,dealer says somethings binding wants to replace guides and take apart but want my first born to do it lol any help would be great thanks

Reinitialize the pwr SR.
I would disconnect the battery for several minutes, then reconnect and hold SR switch till SR cycles though all positions and parks. Try this first.
question: if yu rarely used it in 4 years why should any part be worn out or need replacing??

If unsure. Ask the dealer to reinitialze the SR and show yu how how to do it. It is not magic secret info.

Ask the dealer to do this first(there is a TSB bulletin that adresses this procedure), before they do it without your direction...then solving the issue... then charge yu beaucoup dollars for work that was needless or never done.
