Haven't driven an 08 yet, but my 07 is also a terrific, smooth, quiet riding vehicle. Overall (quality, ride, performance, features), the best new vehicle I've purchased in over 30 years of car buying.

So what's your actual gas milage like on that? My Mom has been looking at getting into a SUV for a while now, but can never decide on what she wants. I told her about the Highlander Hybrid, since she's also concerned by gas milage, but she doesn't drive much. The 27 mpg city looks attractive. You guys getting close to that?

Getting exactly 27 mpg. We love it & cant find a thing wrong with it! The difference btw the regular & the hybrid seem to be 10 grand so that was the hard part, should we or shouldn't we! Beaman Toyota played ball with us & now we are glad we went with the hybrid vs. the regular version! Alexander Toyota had the exact same one, with a difference of 9 dollars on the sticker btw the two & when it came down to numbers Beaman was 4 Grand better Thats why I use Beaman. This is our 4th toyota from Beaman. The others around try to hold you hostage if you let em. She won't regret it!
