Default Rear wheel part numbers or diagrams, AWD

Does anyone know where I can quickly get the part numbers and or expanded diagrams for the rear wheel assemblies on a '04 Highlander with the AWD? I changed the rear brake rotors and pads a week before my wife went on a 500 mile trip. She called me the other night to say there was a terrible noise coming from the right rear wheel. A mechanic looked at it and said the parking brake had come apart and tumbled around causing a bunch of noise and some damage. He said new Toyota parts and labour would come to about $1,400 including wheel bearings which he says are needed. The vehicle only has about 78,000 km. Ouch. I told him to put it back together good enough for wifey to drive home and I would have a look myself and assess the bearings. I did not notice any bearing problems (did not check either) when I did the brake job and didn't even touch the parking brake parts.

What is the expected life of the rear wheel bearings? Has there been any history of this kind of failure? Thanks for any helpful advise.

Here are expanded views diagrams for the rear brakes, what part #'s are you looking for? Any help you need just ask

good luck

The diagram are for a 2wd but I believe they should be the same for a 4wd. The braking components I believe should be the same but someone please correct me if I'm wrong!!

Thanks cerivera, the diagrams are very helpful. I'll have to wait to examine the car when my wife gets back in order to determine what parts I'll need. We live in a small remote town and my nearest Toyota dealer is a two hour drive. If the carnage doesn't look too bad I'll do my own wrenching.

I found out there is a 60 month / 100,000 km warantee on bearings. Woo hoo!
