Re: Has anyone replaced the steering boot hole cover??
I apologize for using the s**t word here. Because the censor picked it up as FOUL. And gave me an infraction.
But I only used a frequently used phrase. The context wasn't even hurtful.
So I will rephrase what was censored/removed.
"Same !@#$%^ different day". Meaning... the procedure is similar on one to the other. As no one else has replied here...I can offer this and hope this is helpful.

I'm sorry you got an infraction. Especially since your reply wasn't even necessary. The fact that it is similar is obvious. It is a steering column and it is a column boot.
The only useful reply would be one that states possible problems, good procedures, timesavers, etc. Just like everything else on this website.
You could have saved yourself some time by not even replying.
Re: Has anyone replaced the steering boot hole cover??
As I stated in the PM I sent, I was hoping for a few general how to steps from someone who has done it. As far as my aptitude, I do all the maintenance items including timing belt. I haven't taken the engine apart though and I don't mess with transmissions.
If it is exactly the same as the Sequoia then great. If you have to take more things apart or if it takes a lot longer for some reason, then I would appreciate a heads up, that's all.

I'm also sorry you got the infraction LT. But continuing to write stuff like this will only get you another one. I'd offer you advice as to stop doing it and just not post anything, but you'd most likely not take it.
Have a nice holiday weekend.
My apologies for interrupting your thread mcmatt.
