Body side molding installation instructions?

Can anyone post the installation instructions for the Toyota OEM body side moldings?

Who said there were any around?

The only place to find the actual positioning instructions would be in the 2008 HL Body Repair manual. This is what yu really need.

Does anyone out there have it yet? Probably not.

Yu could do it by eye if yu had another 08 HL with the moldings on . Taking measurements and even creating a template off the other HL. Clean the paint of any dirt or even Wax with Prep solvent or denatured alcohol so the adhesive will be strong.

All in all it is applied with adhesive. That part is not hard. But getting it straight and even is the key. Masking Tape to set your position lines will help yu. Yu only get one shot at putting it on straight and level.
A very friendly Dealer would be able to print out that info for yu gratis.

Good luck finding one. Start with the dealer who sold yu the body side moldings.

The dealer?...Those are the idiots that didn't put the first set on straight. BTW not the dealer listed on my profile. They are ordering another set and will put those on. I was curious what it should line up with and general height.

9 mos. waiting for the part release from Toyota, another week for the second set to come in due to poor installation...Priceless!

I realize why yu need to know. Yu should talk with a TMS rep and have him get yu the installation specs. screw the dealer.

How many times are yu will to let them keep removing the moldings when they go on crooked????

The only to wait for Back ordered moldings again.

I am almost 99% sure yu will get this info from an 08 Body repair manual. But TIS may have a serv. bulletin for the install procedure.
