Default How To Install LED Signal Mirror Covers

Hi everyone,

I am SOOO SORRY that this took forever to get posted.

I threw this together tonight and hope it will help others install the LED Mirror Covers on their HL. I LOVE THESE THINGS!!!

I took them to a Craftsman Auto Body Shop and had them painted to match the color of my car and it cost me about $95 for paint and labor.

Here is a link to my cardomain page. The link should take you directly to page 12 on my site where I have the "How To."

Please feel free to let me know what you all think. Enjoy.

Hi Cerivera,

I was glad to do it and hope it will help others. I would like to have taken more detailed pictures of the install, but I was short on time. No excuse, I know.

Anyway, I am sorry to hear that you had a hit and run, but am glad that you will be getting your HL back soon and good as new along with the LED Mirrors! I just love how they look and really think they add a nice touch of class not to mention safety to the HL.

Thanks again and enjoy yours!

Thx - nice write-up. Only thing I'd suggest you do is go back and cover over that red electrical tape (for the signal light tap) with a final layer of cold wrap electrical tape. Tape can be found in most larger auto supply stores -- tape chemically seals to itself over a few hours.

Regular electrical tape doesn't hold up well to heat and humidity -- if will come undone over time.

Hey thanks. I will take our suggestion and go back over the electrical tape.

Thanks for the tip!
