Maintenance Light

First I would like to say hi and I look forward to being part of this great forum.

I have a New 2008 Highlander and I changed my oil at about 3800 miles. Just yesterday, every time I start it the maintenance light flashes about 8 times then stops (until I start it again). I have 4500 miles right now.

Is it telling me it's time to change the oil even though I already did? If so, how do I reset the light ? Or is the maintenance light telling me that something else is going on ?

How To Clear "Maintenance Required" Light


here is a big 'ol discussion about how to reset by the book. or you can just turn the car off and push in the odomotor button, then turn the key to ACC. after 20 seconds the dash should blink or somthing in that aspect. Then when you start the HL again the light should be off.
