Default Rear Windshield Fluid Reservoir 2001

I recently got rear-end "bumped" by another vehicle. There is no damage to the fender, but I have water leaking from my driver's side rear wheel. I am sure it is rear windshield fluid, but I cannot find the reservoir or any information in the manual about it. So I need to know where is it so I can check if the hose got knocked off or if it is cracked?

I could be wrong, but I don't think my 04 has a rear reservoir at all. At least I've never filled it. I assume there is a hose from the front one.

I looked at the service manual I have but there really isn't anything about it. There's a section on replacing the wiper motor, but nothing about replacing a pump/reservoir.

There is only one main reservoir for both front and rear...under the hood.
(01-07's)

Supply hose travels to the headliner at the rear to the jet

Problem with the rear Jets???

Thanks for all of those responses. I took apart the entire trunk of the vehicle and found that I had water on both sides in what appeared to be a place water should not be. There is a vent (?) hose that comes down through a rubber gasket and out of the vehicle behind both rear tires. It appears during the last rain storm (or maybe 20) that water gets splashed through the rubber gasket and trapped in this low spot of the trunk. This is my guess anyway as it does not appear to be a actual reservoir and yet I have slime growing there. Maybe someone else has experienced this.

Once again I appreciate all the responses. I never thought this would be the answer. Just happy I did not pay a mechanic to replace a nonexisiting reservior.

These drain hoses yu describe tell me that yu have a sunroof. There are two more up front. They keep the sunroof area dry so as not to leak water into the cabin below the sunroof. The area yu describe leaking is most likely leaking from the tailight gaskets. Not these hoses at all. These tail light seals are very thin and onced breached due to even the slightest unoticeable impact...will cause water build up in the exact two areas yu describe. 99% sure this is your problem.

There is an old post that described this leak and this poster had major electrical problems as the water built up so much that it traveled to the front of the car and also ruined major electrical harnesses .

The owner did not realize the leak was there until a year or more after there was rear end collision repair improperly done. The Highlander was a real mess. The body shop did not want to own up to it. And even the dealer was pointing blame at the body shop. This was a shop referred to the owner by the servicing dealer. Be careful on this repair . It must be done well and verified for leaks properly...or it will always leak.

Good luck.
