Default rear windshield washer not spraying

hello all ,

just noticed this morning as I was warming up my highlander, the rear washer was not working, it was not letting out any window washer fluid . there was a thread earlier regarding the rear reservoir which does not exist and the only reservoir is in the front.

I tested the front washers and they were fine, and the reservoir is full in the front. I checked if the rear washer was clogged, and found no clogging . Also i thought maybe its the frost in the morning clogging the jet. I checked in the afternoon when it got hotter and it still does not work.

any ideas? i checked the forums and no one has had this problem yet.

thanks

YU obviously have a Clogged, Pinched or Disconnected hose at best. This is the obvious stuff to start with. Worst case...then it may be electrical (the rear washer switch?) Also, I believe there may be two washer pumps. One for the rear and one for the front. I only say this because when yu spray the front compared to the rear, the pump sounds different. So, I would then assume there is another separate pump for the rear. This is usually a cause for your problem as well.
From my experience, pumps tend to go bad largely because of minimal use...not because of too much use. In this case a rear washer doesn't get used much at all.

Can anyone else confirm that there is one or two washer pumps????

thanks i think it is the pump not because i know so but because i barely use it. since owning my truck i have only used it maybe 4 times. i only used it recently because i was lazy in the morning as i was warming it up to clean the rear windshield.

thanks btw, its ok, if its a pump i'm not going to bother fix it because the parts probably going to cost an arm and a leg at the dealer. its probably an uncommon part that i won't be able to get at ebay quickly.

thanks a lot life
