20 x 8.5" Wheels Fit a 04 Highlander???

Has anyone tried or know anyone that has put 8.5" wide rims on a highlander. is it too wide? anyone know the offset? I know it could be 35. The tire size could be 245/40/20 or 245/45/20 . Any suggestion or knowledge if it will fit.

I currentl have Vagare 20's, they are Size: 20x8.5 Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3 Offset: 35.

As for tires...I roll on 275/40/20's......Cant feel any bumps....
I'm glad I didnt go with the recommended size, I think those would feel the bumps....Mine dont rub at all...and they're nice and fat...

yes and yes. Why not use the web to get the exact info yu want. ( definitive answers) It has been done. There are literally a thousand + wheels out there. Some 1st gen HL owners have posted on this years past. Search around TS for these posts.

RX330 rims ... OE and aftermarket are a match as well. So if yu search this as well yu will get a good cross section of wheel fitments.

Thanks for the info guys. I've done searchs but most of them just list the diameter size never the width.
