LT, you didn't dremel anything because you bought the trim rings from a dealer.
I used the old front bumper blanks instead. If you look at one of the blanks, the inside is chamfered about 1/4 inch in (looking from the front). I used an abrasive wheel and followed the line. I had planned on this being a short term solution, but that was in June and I don't think it qualifies anymore.
Yes, it looks very good, like something from the factory. Good enough I haven't gone and bought the trim rings. No, the plastic hasn't melted. No, I didn't use anything to seal between the trim ring and the glass. There is a gap about large enough to slide a business card into. It is the ultimate cheapest possible way to add fogs with a boneyard relay and the scion kit from
ebay (and nothing else).
I'll post a picture in the next day or two, I didn't originally because I thought the plastic might melt. I'd do it right now, but it's -4 farenheight here, and I have a detatched garage.
