Had it done. Not sure what the big deal was. Don't like the brats I stuff back there anyway. I guess I'll just have to mount the carseats to the roof rack instead.

2008-09 Toyota Highlanders also has had a bunch of those fancy chrome tailpipes rust and fall off. So, you can also go to the dealer to see if yours is affected and get a new fancy chrome tailpipe before you take out the windshield of a tailgater.
