Default Adding second bluetooth phone

Can anyone help me with adding a second bluetooth phone to a 2008 Highlander Hybrid Nav system. I can pair either phone but I can't seem to figure out how to get both paired so that I can select the phone to connect to. The screen shows icons for six possible phones. When I try to add the second phone it just uses the same position as the first phone.

Thank you,

--Karen

It is not possible to have two or more phones paired simultaneously at the same time. Although the menu allows for adding more phones which I agree. Yu can only have one phone on the list paired to recieve a call at a given time. Sometimes it is the phone that will be the problem. But I don't beleive this is your problem ...correct me if I'm wrong? The BT Standard leaves much to be improved. And Toyota will tell yu that your phone is just not compatible. Go to the Lexus website...there is a tutorial somewhere that is better than the Toyota Literature. Lexus and Toyota are similar in BT firmware. Yu might know this already?

Call Toyota 800. They did not help me .(yu might get lucky?) But I have been successful setting up a few Lexus's which is the same . The dealer was useles for me.

When creating the list, make sure yu disable the previous phone's BT feature before adding the second phone. This might prevent losing the first phone on the list. Just an idea.

BTW sometimes it is the phone ..navigating the phones BT menu correctly that is the problem. Just food for thought.
