Default highlander trans flid question

with an 04 v6 highlander , automatic, 2 wheel drive- there is an automatic transmission fluid dipstick. does that also measure the differential level- that is, are the diff and transmission combined into one unit? or is there a seperate fluid level I need to check for the differential??

Like any other Automatic Front wheel drive Toyota Tranny ...there is no Differential specific Fluid. The ATF is the only fluid yu should be concerned with.
Even with my 4WD 06 HL it is the same. The front Diff. is lubed by the ATF. I just have the additional transfer case and the rear diff to contend with. (using Hypoid gear fluid)

My best guess is four quarts, but perhaps someone with experience on the V6 can chime in.

4 quarts will cover a drain and fill.
