Default Broke wheel studs

I was rotating my tires today and as I was tightening my lug nuts the studs broke off. I used a Torque wrench to tighten them at 75 ft./lbs. I removed the brake caliper and rotor to see if I can easily replace them, it looks easy at first but once I started to hammer it, what looked easy is now a pain in the butt. I used one can of WD-40, one big mullet hammer, and my hardest pound. Them things just don't want to move.

Has anyone else done this before? Maybe you have some other way of taking these things out. I'm almost thinking about drilling them!

LOL, this is funny. I just broke one stud on my Toy HL too last month while changing my brakes. From past experience with four different times on some of the cars I've own, you are best to take it in and just pay $50-$55 if you have the cash. I have tried changing it twice by myself in the past and w/out the right tools you are just going to frustrate yourself. Hope this help.

Thanks! Nice to know that I'm not alone.

I will give it another wack over the weekend, I borrowed a bigger hammer from a friend. If the hammer don't work, I will try C-clamps, hope I have enough clearance behind the hub. What I'm planning to do is place a socket wide enough to cover the flat side of the stud, so that way there is room for the stud to move when I turn the c-clamp.

I would bring it to the a shop but I'm just to cheap and would rather deal with the frustration. I just know I can take this out myself. Besides I just bought the new studs today, for $2 a piece, bought 5 so I would have extras next time I break them again. Thanks for the advice.

Update as of today with pics, the bigger hammer worked it only took two wacks.
