I am looking for the location of the trailer wiring harness plug on a 2009 Highlander with the OEM towing prep package. Any help before I start tearing things apart would be appreciated.

Badger, I'm looking for the same thing and curious add a trailer wiring harness to my `09 Highlander w/ tow prep package (like yours) as well. Were you able to find anything yet?

Hello Sixbee, Yes I did find it on my own. It is above the far rear removeable panel on the driver's side. It's a white connector. Remove the panel and look up for wiring with an unused white connector. I purchased a t-connector for a 4 wire flat trailer connector, thru autoanything.com. Curt T connector, Part 56042, sku 3335969. $9.95, free shipping. Worked perfectly. I then routed the wires up into the small compartment you can get to from the inside without crawling on the ground. I hope this saves you some time.
