Mystery mount above 6cyl rear headers ?

I just purchased this 04 6cyl .....nice condition This unused threaded mounting post aprox 1 in. long is just above my rear headers. There is no wear marks on it so I would guess it's an engine variation and mine is unused. This pic is from below looking up through the pas. side.
Anyone know what it's for ?\thx
