I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander V6 that has lost operation of both rear power windows. The first to go was the window behind the front passenger with the one behind the driver side going about 6 months later. In both cases I had just closed the window after which it would no longer go down. I can hear a click in the door whenever I push the power window control to lower the window but that is all that happens. I have checked the fuses and they are both good (otherwise, I doubt I would hear the click). I guess I was fortunate that they failed after the window had been fully raised!
I had read somewhere that there is a reinitialization that can be performed on the windows. Is this something that would help? If not, is this something that requires an adjustment? I can't believe the same power window part has failed in both doors.
Thanks in advance.
