Default Highland 07, install remote start need help w/remote start wires connections.

Hello all, was hoping to see if anyone has any knowledge about the remote start wires that are used and where they go... Ok I'm installing a 5704 viper into a 07 Highlander... now I know I have 2 starter wires in the Highlander which are starter 1= black, & starter 2 = white/black... now on the remote starter there are 2 starter wires as well which are.... starter output= violet (car side of the starter kill) & starter input= green (key side of the starter kill).

Now I was told that to CUT the starter 2 (black/white) and connect one side (BECU side) to violet and other half of starter 1 (key side) to connect to starter and leave starter 1 alone w/o connecting to remote start.

The remote start runs but does not crank... was hoping someone can help with connections.

    Thanks

    Thread getting old.

Big question is did yu get the Toyota Immobilizer bypass accessory for the 07 HL? The transponder keys must get bypassed indefinitely to allow any aftermarket remote starter to operate correctly.

This in turn negates any security that the transponder key from the factory will afford. The bypass kit will require one transponder key (the Fob part) be left with the bypass component inside the car at all times.( prepare to supply an extra transponder key for just this requirement)
Since yu did not mention this bypass accessory, I will assume yu did not research well enough. Therefore the remote starter will not CRANK like yu stated. The vehicle does not have the transponder key in the vehicle. It's in your pocket.

I don't like Aftermarket remote starters for this reason among others. Disabling the Factory immobilizer just to install a remote starter for convenience sake does't make sense to me.

I'm sorry this doesn't help yu much. But maybe it's some food for thought for others.
