Default Can't see anything in side mirrors during rain

My highlander is the 2wd v6 none-limited. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but during rain i can't see a thing in the mirrors. Its almost like olive oil has been spilled on the mirrors. At first i thought there was something left over from the factory on the mirrors, scrubbing with windex didn't do any good. I don't know what else to do short of installing heated mirrors, though i don't even know if this will help. Never had this problem on other cars. Any suggestions?

Try RainX on them.

I have the same problem with side mirrors fogging up.
Can we apply rain-x to the mirrors also.
Won't it cause any Chemical Reaction?

No, you should be fine if you use RainX, no chemical reaction. You can also purchase FogX as well and use that on your inside and outside mirrors if you are having a fog problem.

I personally would try RainX on the outside mirrrors and see if that helps. I think it will.

Hope that helped.

Thanks Dr.Monkey.

I think I should try using Rain X or Fog X and see how it works.
