Shifter stuck?

The shifter wont' go into park!

What happened?

If "ANYONE" can help or give you an accurate answer to your shifter problem... mustang67408 can and most certainly... will.

Hey Hayaboosa, are you talking about your 04 tundra or a highlander(yr?)
I can shoot you a copy of the trans/shifter linkage, so you can see what mechanisms to check.
If its the tundra, i have had a few shifters break. (the valets at a few of the casinos here in town get a little over zeleous) and have a hard time getting them out of park,(step on the brake duhh)(stupid valets) so they pull on them and have broken them.
Still researching the highlander shifter.

The damn positive battery cover slid down the cable and got wedged in between the linkage!

What a relief

That was my next guess.
