HighlanderGeneral discussion forum for the Toyota Highlander and Highlander Hybrid.
This is a discussion thread titled "Highlander brake pads, a tailgators dream", within the Highlander forum, part of the SUV Forums category.
I really gotta say im very happy with the toyota brakes on my highlander. Since my last nissan i kinda unknowingly developed a tailgating habbit as iv been told by friends in my passenger seat. Im don't even notice it cause the car slows down pretty good without me having to resort to abs. Iv also been told i rely on my brakes too much and tend to slow down much later for traffic lights. So at my last oil change/inspection i expected the brake pads may need to be changed. To my surprise i was told they didn't have a scratch on them like they've never been used!!!

That's weird a guy from NY that tailgates...sound like a stereotype to me
It happens to be true , everyone here tailgates all the time and if your the one tailgating its a rare case that the person infront of you will move out of the way. They're just use to it. However drive for a half hour to long island and people move out of the way in no time. Comes with the territory i guess.

I know...we went to Manhattan for vacation last year and rode in a cab from Laguardia(sp?) to our Hotel and the dude was all over everyone he was following. My wife thought we were gonna die and I thought it was hilarious.
