Cool

Carnutz

You are a very tolerant guy! Funny too. Your comment about getting your pants back was hysterical. Besides that though, I was wondering if you had considered selling the car on your own??? Check to see what the dealer will give you and then list it for a while in the autotrader or something? After all this, the least your wife can do is to wait a bit. IMHO...and thats a womans opinion too

We've sold all our cars that way. We never trade them in.

Good luck to you

Carnutz,

We are new to this forum so please bear with me. Nothing like coming in on a conversation late but I now see that it was several months ago you first posted this. I didn't notice a post about the final outcome though. How did you end up doing? What did you get for it, in trade in or sale?

BTW, we ended up going with a Tacoma last year but did look with at the Highlanders during our search. We thought they seemed too low too! funny. Once the 05 came out we wished a little we had waited but after reading the posts for and against the 05 it mighta been for the best. It works for us and the things we need it for...that's the bottom line (and our dogs like it too). Now we'll be stickin with this till we run it into the ground I think!!.

Thankfully its a Toyota so we can count on that!

LuvMyTac2004;
No trade in yet. We got the title in but have not been to CarMax yet. I may have to sell it myself if the trade value is too low. I usually trade cars in to avoid the hassle of dealing with the lookers and the haggling, but it may be worth it. The wife is warming up a little to the HL and has agreed to keep it a while. We now have 4600 miles on it if anyone here wants to make me an offer.

Maybe if you wait a bit longer the problem will go away -

No, it is still bubbling under the surface kind of like Mt St Hellens just waiting for the eruption to occur.
