Unhappy HELP ME!!! (2003, Highlander)

HI!!

I have a Toyota Highlander 2003, about six months ago I started to hear a noise like a "bang" on the front of the vehicle close to the tires. I went to the dealer and still they cannot find what's the problem, it only does it when I'm driving on unstable road.

Another problem that recently happened was that where I live (Puerto Rico)rains frequently. The light in A/C button started to flash when it rained a lot. I went to the dealer, again, and told them my problem. They told me that it was "NORMAL", because if the strap or belt underneathe the vehicle gets wet the air conditioning automatically turns off.

I wanted to know if these problems have happened to someone ......

I really like my Toyota Highlander, PLEASE I NEED HELP

Thank You!!!

Default Excessive steering wheel play / clunking

Hi.

I have noticed that when travelling at slow speeds I get a lot of vibration from the steering wheel. I can jiggle it back and forth (about 1/8 of a turn each way) when moving or at a stop and I get a clunk clunk clunk. I didn't notice when I test drove and the vehicle only has 2400 miles on it. Does anyone else w/ an 04 Highlander get this rattle/clunk when you move the wheel back and forth? It seems like maybe there could be loose steering components or something. I'd just stop by the dealership and look at another 04, but they are about 45 minutes away. Any comments are appreciated.

Sems to me that that 45 minutes for a visit to the dealer would be a wise investment - something could be loose and getting looser!
